Earlier this month Dr Liezel Ennion was invited as one of three South Africans to present a contribution to the WHO consultation on the Assistive Technology World Report 2020, being compiled by the WHO in Geneva. Her contribution showed the challenges that patients in rural parts of South Africa experience in accessing prosthetic services. This high level meeting brought together global experts to discuss the development of this World Report, which will guide policy on improving access to assistive technology over the coming years.
