To the students of the UWC Physiotherapy Department
South Africa is going to be under lockdown for the next 21 days. We’d like to encourage you all to stay safe and trust the process as we battle this coronavirus pandemic. During this crisis we hope that you’re all still taking the necessary precautions to prevent yourself from being exposed to coronavirus. And that you’re doing your part in following the new regulations during the national lockdown. These are the times which require us to be more responsible and alert.
We know that you’re worried about this pandemic, and its impact on your academics and the future of your studies. We know you’re worried about when you will return to class and that you’re looking for answers during these uncertain times. We will work with the department to try and keep you updated as a student networks. However, we need to remember that, while there are some things that are less certain, there are others we can control. Let’s try our best to keep up to date with our studies, even if only for an 1 hour or 2 each day. This is a good time to review our work, especially topics that we’re struggling with. We know how flustered it can get when we fall behind and things get trickier by the day.
Let’s also try to use this time to relax.
Remember that tough times don’t last. Tough people do and we’re the tough people.
