Not so long ago was the first Genadendal outreach that the UWC third-year students attended. Last week another group of UWC third-year students spent 3 days in Genadendal as part of a CHS faculty outreach program. Well done to all of our students, faculty and support staff who made the visit such a success. The students were involved in providing Physiotherapy related education and treatment to the local community of Genadendal.

The patients would approach the stations, first visiting the Nursing students for a general health review (blood pressure, height, weight, body mass index measurements). Based on these findings the nursing students would refer the clients to a second health professional which might be either the Dentistry, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Social Work or Natural Medicine students.
